Most trade advisory delivers reports. I deliver outcomes.

For too long, trade facilitation has been project-driven rather than impact-driven — measuring success by what was built rather than what changed. A Customs Single Window delivered on time and on budget is a milestone, not an outcome. The real measure is whether it created jobs, raised incomes and grew sustainable revenue for the country it was designed to serve. That is the standard I work to. Focus is on changing the paradigm entirely — designing targeted, implementation-led solutions that create tangible results for the countries and businesses I work with: real jobs, measurable increases in household and business income, and sustainable revenue growth for governments.

That is not an aspiration. It is how I have worked for over 40 years — and it is what makes SIEG Trade Solutions different from other advisory practices in this space.

My career spans operational leadership, policy development, the diplomatic service and IMF advisory roles in the public sector, and senior executive leadership in global private sector logistics, most recently as Vice President of GoTrade at DHL Group, where I built the private sector's first trade facilitation programme from scratch, during Covid, growing it into a globally recognised initiative that earned DHL a UN Award for Best Private Sector Initiative for Trade Inclusion in 2023.

A combination that is genuinely rare in this field.

That journey, from Government enforcement and the diplomatic service to leading compliance and trade facilitation across 220+ countries gives me something rare in this field: I understand how governments think, how regulators act, and how businesses and investors make decisions under pressure. I have sat on both sides of the table. Most advisors have not.

I have previously served as Chair of the Trade & Investment Commission at the International Chamber of Commerce and hold a Senior Fellowship at the HIgh Level Groups' African Commission in Brussels..

Today I work through two complementary practices:

At SIEG Trade Solutions, I work with governments, development finance institutions and corporations on trade-based economic development — customs modernisation, supply chain reform, export strategy, SME integration and blended-finance programme design — with measurable outcomes rather than policy papers.

At BOC Consult (as Partner), I work with corporations and investors on trade compliance architecture, regulatory risk, market access strategy and supply chain resilience.
